South-Western Intermediate Ringette League (SWIRL)

The SWIRL League provides competitive play for over 30 18+ teams at the C and B levels within Western Region and including some teams from our neighbouring region. For the 2013-2014 season we expect to have competitive divisions at C, B- & B (with cross-over) and B+. Divisions of play will vary from year to year and is dependent on the calibre of the participating teams.

All "A" 18+ teams play in the WORL league.

SWIRL is also a Ringette Associations, as a member of Western Region, offering registration services to many of our teams.

Do you have a team looking to join the league? Please contact our chair, and be prepared to attend our September meeting, with your ice times, SWIRL fee (currently $40), bond cheque (currently $50), and requested level of play. The entry of new teams into the league is determined by the current league membership.

Do you need to register your team? You can register with your local minor association, register directly with ORA as your own association or register through SWIRL, in which case SWIRL becomes your association. If you use SWIRL as your registering association you are by default a Western Region team and must follow the rules and regulations of Western Region regardless of where you play or live. Please contact our registrar for details.

Not all teams registered through SWIRL play in the league. Not all teams playing in the league are registered through SWIRL.

Are you looking for a team to play on? Our league does not co-ordinate team placement but we will give you contact information for teams in your area. After that its up to you.
