Desperate for ice time! Please contact Ron or any member of the coaching team. (1 ½ hour ice time) They will run a clinic for the association. We need your help, this is your team.

Very proud to represent the region, it is quite an honour. Ran a tough camp, the end result is a great team.

Challenge Cups: London - November 9-11, Cambridge - January 4-6, Burlington - January 18-20, Winter Games, Borden - first weekend of March break. Introduction of the team.

Keith has put a link on the Region website to make it easier.

Plaque - Chris, as board member, plaque for Team Ontario 2007, 25 year Seaforth, & Forest


6.0 Membership Services - Chuck

See report. New registration system this year, on-line tomorrow. Print off TRF forms for signature. Releases for AA due September 15, A due September 30, BC by the end of October. All forms completed before the girls participate in any tournaments.

Officiating - Tania

See report. Check the website for rule changes. Let your coaches know as well, in your association so they know the rules. Be patient, there will be mistakes. Officials as well as coaches. London, Kitchener, Hanover, Goderich to host clinic. Send AA & A coaches. Go to website to register. Cost and location on website as well. Hanover may have to cancel, insufficient numbers.

See report. Note the CI and CSI clinic as listed. Thank you to all association for hosting a clinic. Email Jodi and she will let you know the Southern Region clinics. Level 3 down the road.


Elite Development - Mary & Peter

See report. New tryouts and declarations certainly made for busy summer. Formed an Ad hoc committee to report back on the way to improve the process. addition of Exeter Open in A level. Matrix...discussion. The AAA team is begging for ice, please contact the team. Shot clock are available to be used in games and tournaments, fill out form on the website. Where to buy one?? Contact Mary. Instructional DVD - contact the ORA office.


Games & Tournament - Janet

See report. Required Readings....on the website. Be in the Know! Tournament sanctioning package going through some changes. What kind of AA prelims...stay tuned. All of you who have association website any reference to Petite A or AA, must be changed to Provincial Petite. Shot clocks - recommend Petite and up. We are working in that direction - encourage Associations to pursue avenues to purchase down the road. Work with their municipalities and service groups. Home association decision. Take this discussion back to your League, for your coaches & officials. Regionals 2008 will be using shot clocks.

Come Try Ringette - Chuck Belanger

Very successful program. See information at the back, manuals coming soon. Brief overview. Come Try Ringette - A Free Event. Player recruitment, a step by step sales program. Parent or guardian must be present for the entire event. One instructor (female) for every 5 players. PowerPoint at the ORA meeting, an excellent tool. Contact Chuck when you have your date and ice times set. August-September would be prime time. Run this program in January, house league team - cannot participate in tournaments or Regionals. Santa Claus parade, float in the parade and hand out flyers to advertise. Great for an area wanting to start-up...twin with an existing association.


Chairman's Report - Chris, Mary

See report. Note the new appeal Policy and a new Discipline and Complaints Policy. Any local Association may adopt this as their policy. Open AA offered at the 2008 Provincial Championships. In case of conflict - AAA games come first, Belle AA games second and NRL games third. Any issues, contact Mary. Coaching qualifications information to Mary - remember to put names and association on your documents
