See report. Outstanding regional dues ($70) - Elora/Fergus, Exeter, Forest, St Mary's, Waterloo, Wellington North, Owen Sound Ladies, SWIRL. These associations will be considered members not in good standing until this amount is paid.

Elite - Mary

See report. Come watch the AAA team and cheer them on at the Burlington at their third Challenge Cup. Remember, they desperately in need ice time, please contact Donna Jones.

A/AA League

Adhoc A/AA process - questionnaire, championship format - meeting in St Mary's, present to WORL February 12th, 2008.

Membership Services - Chuck

Feedback needed on how your registration process. Time to start thinking about awards....lets see some recognition for those members involved in the sport in your association. Criteria is on the ORA website.

Games & Tournament - Janet & Keith

Report to come. As you know, this is a busy time of year. 9 Provincial Petite teams - 5 in Whitby (2 tier), 4 in the Oshawa Provincials. Tournament survey went out - very disappointing with the feedback. All the coaches in the Region survey to be sent out - looking for feedback to understanding what kinds of tournaments teams are looking to attend. B & C teams not attending as many tournaments as in the past. Late fee for those after the deadline July 31 price goes from $40 to $100 if late. Wildcard selection problems, contact Janet. Officiating issues, please contact Tania with information that she should know. Substitution issues - let Janet know. There are specific guidelines for whom you may bring to tournaments as substitutes. Adult issues, let Charlene know.

Keith - after last years Regionals, revamp to make easier, any thoughts to that process. Some bond cheques are missing, team cheques received. On the website - Regional resource spot.

7.0 Chair's Report - Chris, Mary

Board meeting next weekend. Province of Quebec - all boy ringette teams

A/AA coaches are checked. Reminder to pay your region dues and that a member not in good standing, cannot attend the Regionals. ORA mandated, closest association matrix - we worked very hard in the process. We will accept proposals re: changes. Email to Mary and the Executive will look at them. If everyone follows the matrix, it does work. Association may join together to send a proposal....deadline February 29th.

8.0 New Business

Waterloo - 40th Anniversary of Waterloo Ringette, Albert McCormick, 1:00 - 4:30....special presentation for Jack Gough at 3:00 p.m.(unknown to him). Please stop by.

Motion that Western Region Ringette make mouth guards mandatory equipment at the start of the 2008/2009 season. This will include all players playing on all teams registered in Western Region. Elora/Fergus/Guelph. Discussion.

Motion will be tabled til the AGM. Some associations have discussed this issue, but others have not. Please go home and go back to your association to discuss, and come prepared to address issue at our AGM meeting.

9.0 Announcements
