COACHING REPORT

The clinics to date have gone well, with many of them full to capacity.

There are 2 CSI clinics remaining and both are full but we will add more space’s if needed. These are the last 2 clinics being offered.

Mandatory Upgrade Clinic

The Making Ethical Decisions (MED) upgrade clinics will begin in December and will be posted soon on the WRRA website.

Those who require the mandatory upgrade this year are all Level 1 coaches and those who completed their CSI in 2003 and 2004.

To complete the upgrade which is good for 5 years, coaches attend a 3 hour MED clinic and then complete an online evaluation. The cost for this upgrade is $50 per coach.

The original date for the MED completion was to be March 1, 2010. Last week the ORA board changed this to January 8, 2010. The coaching coordinators from all regions in Ontario are working on getting this changed back to the March date. I will keep you posted.

Please be sure coaches requiring this upgrade attend the MED clinics in December

Level 2 coaches do not require an upgrade this year.
