Regionals'09 March 27-29, 2009

Regionals this year is being hosted by Mitchell, Stratford and St. Marys.

$200 deposit due January 15, 2009.

All teams except Bunnies will have games Friday, Saturday with only Medal Games on Sunday.

Bunnies will have two games on the same day either Saturday or Sunday.

Championship games will consist of the representative from each conference and where there are not four representatives it will be filled out by Wild Card teams allocated based on on ice performance determined by G & T.

All efforts will be made at all invitational divisions to group teams according to on ice performance to insure best possible competition.

At Novice level the number of teams per competitive level will be kept to a minimum working to the ideal placement of 4 to 5 teams per round robin.

Adult teams will be divided based upon input from ADP, SWIRL if applicable and on ice performance if available.

Major Stratford hotels are not working with travel agents an rooms must be booked direct. Please inform them you are with the Western Region Regional Tournament as we are negotiating support for the tournament based upon usage.

Outside of Stratford please use ASA to assist in accommodations as they are a corporate sponsor for Western Region.

This year no Volunteer bond but still where needed we request your support. In particular we do need someone to take responsibility for the Tournament Program. Western Region provides the tournament pages and pays for the printing. The Program Coordinator will find the printer, add in the filler (Welcome letters etc.) and if possible solicit sponsorships. If you would like to tackle this task or know of someone please contact us.
