Elite Report, November

The Western Region AAA Team has had a busy fall. Aside from many practices, some where they paid for the ice, the team participated in a pre-tournament in Bala. Here they played Central and North East. This mini-tournament they won! It was on to the big event--the First Challenge Cup in London. The team played North East, North West, Central, Eastern and Southern Region. At the end of the round robin they had one loss, to Eastern, one tie, to Southern and the rest were wins. Exciting games with intense competition!!!!! With this record, they went to the Championship game against Eastern Region. This game was a see saw event and anyone could win. In the end, Western Region came out on top, 7-6, and the Gold medal leaving Eastern to worry about this fine team from Western.

The Western Region AAA Team is still looking for ice or sponsorship for ice. They are willing to come to your arena. With two hours of ice they will practice for 1 1/2 hours and hold a clinic for your players with the time left. This is a win-win situation for everyone. Give it a try. I am sure you will find it works wonders.

Shot Clocks:

Shot clocks are out and being used by Associations in tournament. The request form is on the net. Don't be afraid to ask for one. It is easily arranged.

WORL League:

Games and being played with no major problems.
