Standing Committee Meeting August 10-12/07
CI/Gradation – discussion about completing these in the same weekend. Would include a Friday night and a Saturday and Sunday. OR Saturday and Sunday and another Saturday or Sunday. Each can offer the system that works for them.
Also, Practical 2 evaluators are still available for evaluations this season.
Trainers Position – Coaching development looking into a sport specific first aid course. This will be discussed at the April 2008 SCM for future trainer requirements.
Coaching Chart – Please refer to the coaching chart on the ORA website under coaching development for bench staff qualifications.
Coach of the Week – Jackie (technical director ORA) came and addressed the coaching development committee with the idea of a coach of the week for ringette. Jackie will formalize and send it out. Membership notice will be sent.
Grandfathering – We are awaiting further information from Ringette Canada. At this time it is until 2010. Please see coaching chart on ORA website.
