The Rat Team played in their first Challenge Cup in North Bay, bringing home the Silver Medal, after being defeated in a 4-3 game against Eastern Region. They made it to the final, after defeating Central Region, 8-7, 15 minutes into Overtime of the Semi-final. We should all be proud of their accomplishment and the good manner, in which they represent our region.

Kingston, Feb 6-8, 2004

Ontario Winter Games: London, Mar 11-14, 2004

We wish them continued success on the road towards the Ontario Winter Games!!!

They are still looking for donations of Ice Time from the Region Associations, for Practice sessions or exhibition games. Please, contact Chuck Belanger at (519) 352-8045 or email creeklin@ciaccess.com. Or if you can’t donate ice time, a monetary donation towards ice time can also be made.

The League is running well. We have 23 Teams playing in 4 divisions, 6 Petites, 6 Tweens, 5 Juniors, 5 Belles and 1 Open A team. The scores are being reported in a timely manner. Anyone can check some of the scores and standings on our website, www.wrra.ca.

However, there are still some games that remain unscheduled, that need to be played by Dec 28^th, at the latest.

We are hoping that the next Round of games can start the weekend of Jan 3^rd. The Teams have been asked to have their icetimes and Tournaments, they have registered for, emailed to me by Dec 7^th.

Just a reminder, that the aim of the League is to promote and develop the "A/AA" game of Ringette in Western Region as well as foster good sportsmanship and fair play.
