WORL President Peter Westelaken called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. approved by Chatham and seconded by St. Clements.

Minutes: The minutes of the April 19^th meeting were read and approved by Stratford and seconded by Guelph.

1. Rescheduling of Games: Conveners will monitor rescheduling game changes to see how this is working.

A discussion was held on enforcing the WORL by-law 5.2.

Need to send the following information to Scott Borland at mms.borland@sympatico.ca ASAP. (NO LATER THAN SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 18, 2005)

• Start the WORL League schedule the first weekend of October. NO GAMES will be held during the Thanksgiving long weekend so players and coaches can enjoy time with their families.

• Guleph Association asked to not have their Tween A and Tween AA teams play each other in league.

• If team numbers allow play within division and league. Would like to see more games within division and a few crossover games.

• Suggested to schedule farther away games before the weather gets nasty.

• Open A and AA teams will be put in division with Belle A and AA teams

• 10 – 12 games per division will be schedule for the first half

Forest motioned to have the Petite Division scheduled so every team plays all teams in the first half. Exeter seconded this motion.

• Provincial A’s will be held in Elora/Fergus February 17, 18, & 19.
• Provincial AA will be held during the Waterloo Tournament Jan. 20 – 22, 2005

There was much discussion on the prelims being held for AA during the Waterloo tournament (exam time). Stratford offered to host this during their tournament January 13 – 15. After a lot of discussion it was decided to leave the AA prelims during the Waterloo tournament.

Janet Logan reminded everyone that our TRF’s should be into the ORA League before our schedule starts. (Beginning of October)

• If your association has a shot clock, replace batteries and make sure they have two extension cords.
• Can send bill for expenses to Western Region League.
• Share with rest of Region

Motion: Bill Kaizer made a motion to take the AA section of this league and schedule refs. The refs will be paid $25.00 each which includes mileage in Belle and Open by the home association and in Tween and Junior refs will be paid $20.00 by the home association. Where possible Bill will try to use 1 local official. Seconded by Chatham.

Much discussion was held on this motion.

The G & T Handout book for coaches will be handed out at the Western Region meeting on Thursday September 15, 2005. Please make sure all coaches get a copy of this book and only use papers (forms) from this book.

• All games reports need to be to Janet Logan by the 5^th of each month. This can be done by going on the Western Region website and select WORL League A & AA fill in the required information for each game you played that month. This also can be done immediately after each game.
• Keith will add a tournament and exhibition section to the web.
• All teams must have games, tournaments and exhibition games posted by the 5^th of each month or fines will be levied.
• Let the conveners know games being switched and they will contact the G&T so your association will not be charged for games being missed by the 5^th of month.

• Coaching clinics (need locations to host)
