Provincial Champion Format for 2009

The December minutes were read and approved with the following changes.

Minutes were approved by St. Clements and Chatham.

1st Half of the Season:

The first half of the season went fairly well, we still have a few outstanding games that need to be played ASAP. If games are not played it will result in a $300.00 fine.

2nd Half of Season:

Scott informed us that there are still some changes to be made to the schedule. Any changes/conflicts let Scott know ASAP (Friday January 12 final date for changes).

Scott left the month of March opened for playoff games. Still need to decide how we are going to schedule the championship games. By incorporating the playoff schedule we are trying to have meaningful games to play past prelims so teams heading to provincials have someone to play.

We had lots of discussion of what we wanted to hand out to our champion teams. Some suggestions were to use some trophies from ORA that are not being used anymore and use them for the winning teams to take a picture with. Other suggestions were to hand out a Banner to be displayed in arenas to make people more aware of ringette. It was decided to go back to your home associations and ask them what they thought would be a good idea.

Treasurer’s Report – Donna Jones

We have $5674.74 in our bank account

Deadlines for A & AA tryouts:

After much discussion we set proposed dates for teams to have their teams picked and declared.

Everyone is to take this information back to their home associations and come back to the next meeting prepared to vote.
