Dates to Remember:

November 20, 2008: copies of TRFs plus Intent to Proceed and Provincial fees to be brought to the Region Meeting.

January 8, 2009: last date for changes to TRFs

Mid-January, 2009: Provincial Petite groupings to determine which event teams will be attending.

February 6-8, 2009: Guelph Tournament- Western Region AA Prelims (rules follow)

February 11, 2009: Final declaration of Region Reps to Provincials; Wild Card teams are selected for AA Provincials; Jacks and McCarthy tiers will be finalized.

February 19-22, 2009: St Thomas– Western Region A Prelims

February 25, 2009: Final declaration of Region Reps to Provincials; Wild Card teams are selected for A Provincials; Lajeunesse tier.

March 5-8, 2009: London– AA Provincials

March 19-22, 2009: Gloucester– A Provincials


Eligibility Requirements:

"To be eligible to attend a Provincial event, Tween through Open teams must have attended two (2) O.R.A. Sanctioned events at the appropriate level one (1) of which must be out of region, a minimum of three (3) weeks prior to the first day of the Provincial event in which they are attending to participate. Northeast and Northwest teams exempt with G&T approval (due diligence must be proven). Teams must provide confirmation of acceptance into tournaments to meet this requirement by February 1st or your Regional Selection process, whichever comes first."

Teams must participate in whatever regional process determines their Regional Representative before being eligible for Wild Card consideration.”


Two-Team Agreements:

One team must be either “B” or “C” and the other must be a Provincial level team.

A maximum of 3 Provincial level players can be on a single B or C team (Western Region).

A complete schedule of events for the player with both teams must be included with the signed agreement. MUST use new form

All agreements are to be signed by Membership Services and G&T Coordinators before they are considered valid.

Players (including goalies) cannot play in more than one (1) sanctioned event on more than one (1) team on the same weekend or in the same sanctioned event.


Game Reporting:

All games must be reported within 48 hours of completion; tournaments within 48 hours of the final game.

All fully-served penalties must be reported and game sheets faxed or e-mailed within 24 hours of completion of the game.

For O.R.A. disciplinary purposes, any game between two (2) Registered O.R.A. teams

or between any other Province’s teams with an O.R.A. registered team is considered a sanctioned event.
